Story

La Cuarta is the story of a dreamer deeply attached to the true values of Argentinian know-how. Thanks to the support of high-level suppliers, who believed in the project, Yann Menge’s determination and passion enabled the materialization of his designs into timeless belt collections.

La Cuarta was created in December 2019 in Zürich, Switzerland. The direct collaboration and interactions that we have with the different parties involved in the production of our belts helps us better understanding their work philosophy and controlling the quality standards. Our belts are designed in Switzerland and made in Argentina.

Where ?

The factory is located in the province of Buenos Aires where the whole production chain, from the reception of the leather to the quality control of the finished products before their delivery is taken care of.

How ?

Our belts are designed in Switzerland and produced in Argentina.

Leather

The belts are produced with special leathers from male pampa steers, tanned with vegetal dyes. Only the best leathers are used, so as to ensure a product in every way exemplary.

Natural Tanning

The tanning process is a natural one, in which oils and pigments produced with vegetal dyes (i.e. grape, beetroot, tea, yerba mate) found in the Northern area of Argentina are used. The leather pieces are dried off in the open air for 90 days and as the tanning colors are obtained without using any chemical components the environment during this process is preserved. Belts made with this leather don't need any additional layer support, so that time and usage give the belt, an even more beautiful and unique look.

Fer

Fer began working with scant resources in his mother's garage. He had only 24 buckles and some leather strips. After a few years he was able to expand his production and establish his own workshop and include some collaborators for artisanal weaving of the figures on the belts he designs. He selects the materials especially carefully to achieve the maximum quality for the final product. The excellence of his products allowed him to have a global reach.

“At the end of the journey, we remember only one battle: the one we fought against ourselves, the original enemy, the one that defined us.”
